El tigre de Siberia es muy escaso; mide entre 1,4 y 2,8 m de largo, sin incluir la cola, que oscila entre 69 y 95 cm. Pesa entre 180 y 360 kilogramos. Su cuerpo está cubierto por un pelaje característico, amarillo con bandas oscuras.
